Responsible Server Training

We offer a three hour NYS Liquor Authority approved Alcohol Training Awareness Program also known as “Responsible Server Program”.

The topics covered in the class include: NYS Alcoholic Beverage Control Law, common methods used to prevent making an unlawful sale to a minor, methods used to identify fake ID’s, refusal of service incident reports, and sample policies. The training will teach attendees how to avoid making one of the three illegal sales: sale to a minor, sale to a visibly intoxicated person, and sale to a habitual drunkard.

In addition, attendees will learn about absorption and metabolization of alcoholic beverages in the human body. The physical and psychological effects of alcohol on the human body will be discussed so servers can observe patrons and make an educated decision on when to refuse service.  If a patron is refused service of an alcoholic beverage, attendees will learn how to document the refusal of service along with the importance of record keeping to reduce liability.

The class is taught by a local certified instructor with more than twenty years experience. Call today to schedule a class, and learn how to protect yourself from making costly mistakes.
